Meet the Photographer
Hello Everyone, I’m Guy Ruff III
Recently, my family has experienced the loss of several members, and as an artist, many acquaintances have turned to me to create artwork in memory of their loved ones. However, I've encountered a significant challenge: obtaining high-quality photos to work from. It dawned on me that this is a common issue, as most families lack such photos.
In response, I am collaborating with The Baby Bello to offer complimentary solo portrait sessions. Lets change the script, and start preserving our own.
Client Preparation Guide for Studio Portraits
Before the Photoshoot
1. Wardrobe: Solid colors work best for headshots. Avoid busy patterns and logos that can distract from your face.
2. Grooming: Make sure your hair is styled the way you like it. If you plan to get a haircut or color, do so at least a week before the shoot to allow it to look natural.
3. Skin Care: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to the shoot for hydrated skin. Avoid sunburns or tanning.
4. Makeup: Natural-looking makeup is best for headshots. Bring your makeup for touch-ups during the session.
5. Facial Hair: For those who wear facial hair, make sure it is neatly trimmed. If you prefer a clean-shaven look, shave right before the session to avoid any redness.
6. Rest: Get a good night’s sleep before the day of the shoot to avoid bags or dark circles under your eyes.
During the Photoshoot
1. Expression: Practice your smile in a mirror. Think about things that make you happy to create a genuine smile.
2. Posture: Stand up straight, push your shoulders back, and your chin slightly forward to create a strong posture.
3. Eyes: Focus your eyes just above the camera lens. This will help to engage with the viewer of your headshot.
4. Relax: Take deep breaths and try to relax. Tension can show in your photos.
After the Photoshoot.
1. Selection: Review the photos and select the best ones that represent your image.
2. Feedback: Provide feedback to your photographer about what you liked or what you would like to change.
3. Usage: Update your profiles, or enjoy your portraits at home. Share these images with your family and friends! All I ask is to please credit Guy Ruff III Portrait Artist for your portrait! Word of mouth is amazing, and please leave a positive review on my Google profile!
