FAQ

What is Fine Art Photography?

Fine art photography is a type of photography that expresses the artist's vision and creativity, rather than documenting reality or capturing a specific subject. It often involves artistic techniques, such as composition, lighting, color, contrast, and post-processing, to create images that evoke emotions, meanings, or messages. Fine art photography can be abstract or realistic, conceptual or narrative, and can cover any genre or theme.

How long does it take to recieve the photos after the portrait session and how will those be delivered?

You can expect to see your photos within two weeks of the portrait session. We will contact you to set up a Portrait Review Appointment. Depending on the products, delivery time may vary. I may personally deliver them to you.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?

If you are within 25 miles of zip code 15010, your travel expenses are covered by our collections. For longer distances, we charge an extra $50. Anything over 200 miles we'll have to discuss about additional lodging, fuel, and meal expenses.

We want to include our pet into the portraits, is that okay?

We are happy to hear that you want to include your pet in the portraits. However, please note that we are not experts in pet photography. We suggest that you book a discovery call with us to explore all the possibilities.

What should I wear for the Fine Art Portraits?

- Choose clothes that match the theme and mood of the portrait. For example, if you want a vintage look, you can wear a lace dress or a suit with a hat. If you want a modern look, you can wear a simple shirt and jeans or a colorful dress.
- Avoid clothes that are too tight, too loose, too bright, or too patterned. These can distract from your face and body shape and create unwanted shadows or reflections.
- Wear clothes that flatter your skin tone and hair color. For example, if you have warm undertones, you can wear earthy colors like brown, orange, or green. If you have cool undertones, you can wear pastel colors like blue, pink, or purple.
- Accessorize with jewelry, scarves, hats, or glasses that complement your outfit and personality. Don't overdo it though; less is more when it comes to accessories.
- Bring a few different outfits and accessories to the photo session so you can change and experiment with different looks.

How do I care for my fine art photographs?

Fine art photographs are delicate and valuable artworks that require proper care and handling. You should store them in a cool, dry, and dark place, away from direct sunlight, heat, humidity, dust, and insects. You should also frame them with archival materials that protect them from fading, warping, or yellowing. You should avoid touching them with bare hands or using harsh chemicals or cleaners on them. You should also consult a professional conservator if you notice any signs of damage or deterioration on your fine art photographs.

What if we want something more extreme for our masterpiece (hiking, diving, etc)?

If you are looking for a more adventurous experience for your masterpiece, we need to talk about it. You can fill out the form or schedule a discovery call with me, and we can figure out the best option for you.
